Those requirements can include crafted items, mode drops, currencies, takedowns, quests, another unit, or update-specific progress. Always open the exact unit’s Evolve panel; a community recipe is only a dated planning aid until it matches the live confirmation screen.
Evolution readiness checklist
Match name, base form, level, Shiny status, trait, stats, and lock state.
Record materials, quantities, quests, takedowns, duplicate units, and currencies.
Open each stage, shop, event, craft, or mode panel in the current client.
Complete nested crafts and quest counters before over-farming common materials.
Identify everything consumed, preserved, replaced, or reset by the action.
After evolving, confirm abilities, stats, trait, equips, and collection entry.
Do not unlock a valuable unit merely to make it selectable without first confirming that the interface requires it. Locks exist to interrupt destructive mistakes.
Pick the right first evolution
Prioritize the evolution that unlocks a blocked clear or provides a missing team job. A usable carry normally comes before a duplicate damage option; an essential support or economy unit can outrank a higher-rarity sidegrade. Include the full source cost and the reliability of the farm.
Write the objective in stage terms: clear a specific Story act, stabilize a Dungeon floor, or reach a Worldlines milestone. Then compare accessible evolutions against that objective. The Tier List is a broad reference, but availability and finished build decide account value.
Farm without wasting materials
Start with the rarest or time-limited prerequisite only after confirming the rest of the path is possible. Track required, owned, and remaining quantities. For craft trees, preserve raw materials until every branch is counted. For shops, note currency, stock, and reset. For stages, compare successful rewards per minute.
If the evolution has a takedown or quest requirement, activate or pin it before running. Test one completion to confirm what counts. Do not assume assists, summons, a particular mode, or old counters behave the same after an update.
Protect the build
Screenshot the unit card before evolving: trait, Damage/SPA/Range ranks, level, Familiar, Memoria, Shiny status, and abilities. Read current warnings about what carries over. If the new form changes placement, ability timing, role, or element interaction, re-test rather than copying the base form’s strategy.
Never sacrifice the only copy of a limited unit or an evolved donor without explicit confirmation. Obtain a replacement first when a quest or recipe calls for another unit. Use Evolution Materials for the inventory plan and Evolution Quests for counters.
After evolution
Re-lock the result, verify that the intended form appears, and inspect its new abilities. Equip layers may remain, change, or need re-selection; trust the current card. Test at low risk before committing more rerolls, stat transfers, or scarce materials.
Record the date and version with any guide note you keep. Evolution recipes are operational data and can be rebalanced. A correct Holy Retribution plan should not silently become a claim about every future update.
Diagnose a blocked evolution
If the button remains locked, compare each live requirement with the exact selected copy. Check base form, level, quest activation, counters, materials, nested crafts, currency, and whether a required unit is locked or assigned elsewhere. Return to the lobby after a completed run so saved progress can refresh.
Do not consume duplicates or repeat expensive crafts to force the interface. If every visible requirement is satisfied, capture the panel and check current official notices for a known issue. Preserve the unit and materials until the difference is explained.
