The best Anime Vanguards team is a set of jobs that can be deployed on time, not six names copied from a showcase. Build one opening answer, one late damage plan, support or control, a mechanic response, and only as much economy as the stage allows. Then replace jobs with units available on your account.
Core team jobs
Story progression team
Use one affordable carry, one stronger unit you are building toward, one support or control unit, and zero to one farm unit until the team reliably survives early waves. Leave remaining slots for a second damage type and the map’s problem. Upgrade the first carry before spreading Yen across every slot.
The exact name matters less than the curve. A completed Mythic can outperform an unfinished Secret. Use Unit List to find accessible sources and Evolution to finish the form.
Infinite team
Use a scalable late carry, a second damage profile, support, persistent control, one or two farm units if payback is proven, and a boss or immunity answer. Placement efficiency matters because long runs fill useful map space. Global or long-duration abilities gain value when they remain relevant across many waves.
Set a milestone and record why the run ends. If enemies simply gain too much health, improve scaling. If fast enemies leak, improve control or coverage. If bosses ignore status, add direct damage or the required mechanic instead of stacking more control.
Raid and Dungeon squad
Read the stage panel before selecting names. Assign opening damage, boss damage, support, cleanse or other mechanic, and economy across the squad. Avoid four players all saving for late units. One player should stabilize while others build.
Lunar Bridge in 14.5 uses demon floors, fifteen waves, and floor-specific rewards. Public Raid records include Snare and other boss effects. A cleanser or required element can be more important than a small tier upgrade. Confirm each player’s ability timing so two long cooldowns do not overlap unnecessarily.
Worldlines team
Prepare a flexible roster by element. Read the floor weather, enemy rules, and reward before entering. Use one core carry that remains legal, one favored-element option, support, control, and economy appropriate to the floor. Swap rather than forcing a banned or heavily penalized element.
Because Worldlines resets, do not treat a Floor 50 team from an old season as permanent. Update 14.5 reset Worlds Collide and changed the milestone unit to Rebel Fighter (Gauntlet).
Budget substitutions
If you lack a top carry, use the best evolved accessible unit that covers the same attack role. If you lack premium support, use a lower-rarity buffer, slow, stun, or Range support whose effect is reliable. If you lack the recommended farm unit, run one economy slot or none and adjust the upgrade order.
Substitute by function, not anime identity. Compare cost, placement, ability, and source. A unit with slightly lower ceiling can be better when its materials and equipment are already complete.
Upgrade order
Place the opening carry at a bend or long path segment. Upgrade until early enemies are controlled. Add economy only if the next dangerous wave remains safe. Deploy support when it affects enough damage to justify the cost. Start the scaling carry before the boss window, then add the mechanic answer.
If a run fails, change one choice: placement, upgrade timing, support range, farm count, or mechanic slot. Replacing the whole roster hides the cause.
Team FAQ
How many farm units should a team use?
Use the number that repays before the decisive waves while the reduced combat roster still survives. That may be zero, one, or two depending on mode and squad.
Can one unit fill several jobs?
Yes. A carry can also control, support, summon, or scale. Multi-role units free slots, but their conditions still need to work in the chosen mode.
