Anime Vanguards uses items for summoning, evolving, leveling, rerolling, crafting, shopping, and mode progression. The same inventory can contain permanent account currencies, unit-specific evolution pieces, colored Essence Stones, limited event tokens, Familiars, Memoria, portals, food, and quest items. The safest way to manage it is to start from the action you want to complete, then trace every requirement back to a current source.
Update 14.5 also added the searchable in-game Codex. Use it to follow a reward back to the thing that drops it and to inspect units, Memoria, Familiars, cosmetics, titles, and banners. The Codex and the live shop panel are better for current availability than an undated screenshot.

Item Dex by purpose
Trace an item backward from the goal
For an evolution, open the unit’s evolution preview and write down every required item before farming. Separate reusable account resources such as Gold and Essence from the unit-specific piece. Then open the Codex or stage panel for each source. A piece linked to Story, a Legend Stage, a Raid shop, a Dungeon shop, or a special quest requires a different route and may have a different availability window.
For a shop purchase, start with the item and price, then confirm where the currency comes from. Mode currency usually belongs to that mode’s loop. Do not farm an old event token because a historical page still lists an appealing reward. The current shop must be present, and the item must still be in stock.
For a summon or reroll session, set the maximum spend first. Keep enough Gold for upgrades or crafting, enough Gems for the banner plan, and enough reroll resources to avoid leaving a key unit worse than it began.
Essence and crafting decisions
Green Essence is the flexible foundation for the colored Essence path. The Crafting station is in the Upgrades area and supports crafting, synthesis, and dismantling. Community documentation shows colored Essence can be crafted from Green, Rainbow uses a color set, and dismantling can convert colored or Rainbow Essence back toward Green at a Gold cost. Recipes can change, so the live station must confirm every quantity.
Synthesis targets certain evolution items from Legend Stages by consuming other eligible items. That is useful when drops are uneven, but it is not free inventory cleanup. Before sacrificing duplicates, check every planned evolution and quest. A material that looks spare may be required by a second unit or a later quest step.
Use Essence Stones for the color flow and Crafting for a pre-confirmation checklist. The Evolution Materials guide connects those resources to the unit decision without duplicating every recipe.
Memoria and Familiar boundaries
Memoria are equippable items with their own effects and trait rerolls using Memoria Shards. Some are exclusive to a named unit. Update 14.5 added five Memoria tied to its five new units, with sources across Dungeon, Worldlines, and Battlepass. Confirm the eligible unit and source before grinding the equipment.
Familiars are a separate equipment system. Update 14.5 added Vanguard Familiars and Demon Familiars, and the official changelog warned that Vanguard Familiar passives were subject to change. Never combine a Memoria percentage, Familiar passive, trait, and stat roll into a “base unit” claim.
The Memoria guide focuses on equipment and rerolls. The Familiars index focuses on compatible units, sources, passives, and corruption.
Shop stock and resets
The community Wiki describes many shops as one-time stock, with rotating exceptions such as Boss Events, Rifts, PvP, and the Gold Merchant. That means “not available” can mean sold out on your account, removed with the event, or waiting for a reset. Read the shop timer and stock counter rather than assuming every player sees the same inventory.
Update 14.5’s Dungeon Shop uses Controller Tokens from Lunar Bridge. The official changelog lists stat resources, rerolls, materials, and a Vanguard Familiar among its stock. Prices and remaining access should be checked in the current game before choosing a long farm.
Protect limited resources
Lock or favorite valuable units and read every confirmation dialog. Keep a small reserve of core currencies so one evolution does not prevent necessary upgrades. Screenshot the current recipe or shop panel when planning a multi-day farm; it gives you a precise target and makes a later change obvious.
Do not buy currency, codes, or “guaranteed drops” through an external login. Roblox purchases occur through official Roblox flows, while ordinary mode currencies are earned and spent inside the experience. A website asking for a cookie or password is not a shortcut.
Items FAQ
What should a new player save first?
Save Gems until you understand the current banner, keep enough Gold for core upgrades, and use rare reroll resources only on units likely to stay in the team. Claim time-limited rewards before their shop closes.
Is every item in the Wiki still obtainable?
No. Historical event items and currencies can remain documented. The live Codex, mode panel, quest, and shop determine current availability.
Can I dismantle materials safely?
Only after checking planned evolutions, crafts, and quests. Dismantling is a conversion with a cost and can destroy a piece you later need.
