Trait rerolling in Anime Vanguards can improve a unit, but it can also replace a useful result and consume a scarce resource without advancing your account. Use Mandra and the live Trait Index, confirm the exact unit copy, and enter with a budget and stopping rule. This guide avoids publishing a fixed reroll cost or probability because those details must match the current interface.
Before you reroll
Lock the target unit and remove ambiguity between base, evolved, Shiny, and duplicate copies. Write down its current trait, Damage/SPA/Range ranks, Familiar, Memoria, level, and intended mode. Take a screenshot if the interface does not show every identifier at once.
Then answer four questions:
- What job does this unit perform?
- What current result is acceptable to lose?
- Which ideal and acceptable outcomes will stop the session?
- How much reroll currency must remain afterward?
If any answer is missing, pause. A reroll is not a substitute for an evolution, ability unlock, team economy, or correct stage strategy.
Safe reroll sequence
Match portrait, form, shiny status, level, and lock state.
Read live effects, restrictions, and displayed rates before spending.
Save the existing trait and a repeatable combat result.
Wait for the result to load and read every condition before another click.
Stop at the ideal result, an acceptable result, or the reserve floor.
Use the same stage and build before making further changes.
Do not rapid-click through animations or confirmation states. Network delay can make the displayed selection feel behind the action. Allow the interface to settle after each result.
Budget rerolls across the account
Prioritize a main unit with a clearly poor or irrelevant trait, then units that unlock a specific clear. A support already doing its job and a carry with an acceptable roll should usually sit behind an unbuilt core slot. Keep a reserve for an unexpected new unit or future evolution.
Treat probability as variance, not a schedule. A displayed chance does not guarantee a result within a chosen number of attempts. Pity or index tracking should only be assumed when the current UI explicitly shows it. Do not borrow future event rewards into today’s budget.
Evaluate the new result
Run the same stage, wave interval, upgrades, placement, supports, and ability timing used for the baseline. Compare leaks, boss time, cash remaining, and completion rather than a single card statistic. Some range or speed changes matter only on particular maps.
If the result is worse for the assigned role but rare in name, rarity should not override evidence. If it is acceptable and fixes the target clear, stop. The Best Traits page helps interpret roles, and Stat Ranks covers the separate Damage/SPA/Range system.
Recover from a bad session
If the session reaches the reserve without an acceptable result, stop and keep the best currently available option the interface permits. Do not buy, trade, or dismantle other resources impulsively to continue. Rebuild the team around the unit’s actual trait and use another slot to cover the missing job.
Save the start and end balances, results kept, unit form, and date. That log prevents repeating a failed budget and helps decide whether the next earned rerolls belong elsewhere. If the interface behaved unexpectedly, capture the current screen and consult official announcements before spending more.
Reroll troubleshooting
If Mandra does not show the unit, verify that it is in inventory, eligible, not assigned to a conflicting system, and that the correct copy is selected. If a result seems not to apply, return to the unit card and a controlled stage rather than clicking again. Server delay, display refresh, and build differences should be ruled out first.
Do not use a second account, automation, or rapid input to bypass normal limits. The safe response to uncertainty is to preserve the remaining currency and recheck the current client.
Trait Reroll FAQ
Can I guarantee a named trait?
Only trust a guarantee, pity, or selector that is visibly present in the current client. Random rerolls can exceed any personal estimate.
Should I reroll before evolving?
Confirm how the current evolution flow treats traits first. When uncertain, finish the form you intend to use and test that exact form before a large spend.
