Anime Vanguards Essence Stones Guide

Plan Anime Vanguards Essence Stone farming and crafting by color, recipe, source, inventory reserve, and evolution target.

Essence Stones are recurring Anime Vanguards crafting and evolution components. The important detail is not merely owning “an essence”: recipes distinguish stone types or colors and quantities. Open the exact destination recipe before farming, then verify the current Challenge, shop, crafting, or other source panel. Drop rates and rotations are intentionally left to the live client.

Start from the recipe

Select the unit evolution or crafted item you actually want. Record every component, its icon, color or type, required quantity, current quantity, and any prerequisite. Do not rely on a generic material screenshot. Two recipes can share some inputs while requiring different rare components.

Farm the current source

Challenges have historically been associated with Essence Stone acquisition, but available rewards and modifiers rotate. Read the current reward card before each session. Calculate completed rewards per minute rather than the advertised reward from a stage you fail often.

If crafting one stone from smaller components is available, compare the full input cost with direct acquisition. Leave a reserve for other recipes. A conversion that completes today’s evolution may consume the exact component needed by tomorrow’s higher-priority unit.

Prevent material mistakes

Lock the destination unit and avoid crafting until its recipe is visible. Confirm quantities after each batch; do not queue the entire inventory from memory. Read synthesis and dismantle outcomes before clicking. If a recipe consumes another crafted item, expand the dependency chain first.

Keep event-specific components separate from permanent Essence Stones. A seasonal icon with a similar color may have a different destination and expiry. The Crafting guide covers dependency planning, and Evolution Materials connects stones to unit forms.

Know when to stop

Stop at the recipe quantity plus a deliberate reserve, not at an arbitrary round number. Finish the evolution and verify the remaining balance. If the evolution also requires takedowns, quests, or another unit, do not over-farm stones while that prerequisite remains blocked.

Recheck after an update. Recipe quantities and sources are operational facts, so a saved worksheet should include the date and version window. Never present a past rotation as current without matching it to the client.

Keep a session log

Record the current Challenge or source, modifier, difficulty, entries spent, successful clears, time, and each stone type received. Use the log to compare routes, not to claim an official drop rate. A rotation change starts a new sample because the old conditions no longer match.

Reopen the recipe after the session and update the remaining gap. If one component is finished, switch routes instead of continuing out of habit. Keep enough lower-tier or alternate stones for other confirmed recipes rather than converting the entire inventory.

Troubleshoot the recipe

If the craft button remains unavailable, check exact stone type, quantity, nested item, currency, unit prerequisite, and whether an input is locked or equipped. Similar icons are the most common source of confusion. Compare the recipe and inventory side by side.

If a known source no longer shows the stone, wait for a verified rotation or choose another current source. Do not spend entries on a historical reward table.

Share a material route responsibly

When posting a route, include the date, Challenge modifier or source, difficulty, clear time, team assumptions, and reward card. Say that observed drops are a personal sample. Another player can then verify whether the same rotation is active instead of wasting entries on a copied permanent-sounding claim.

Essence Stones FAQ

Which color should I farm first?

The one required by your next confirmed recipe. There is no universal priority independent of the target unit.

Should I craft all smaller stones upward?

No. Convert only the amount needed after reviewing other active recipes and maintaining a reserve.
