Anime Vanguards crafting is more than pressing a recipe button. The Upgrades area includes crafting-related systems documented by the community, including crafting, synthesis, and dismantling. Each can transform or consume inventory. Start from a specific destination, trace its dependencies, and read the current preview before confirming because recipes and returns can change.
Craft from a dependency plan
Open the desired evolution item, material, or other recipe in the live interface.
List direct materials and anything that must itself be crafted.
Use current quantities and preserve a deliberate reserve.
Check today's stage rewards, shops, and rotations.
Confirm the output and remaining inventory after each dependency.
Do not create extra intermediates until the destination succeeds.
This order prevents a common mistake: converting all lower materials into one intermediate, then discovering that another branch of the recipe needed them unchanged.
Separate the three actions
Crafting combines listed inputs into a displayed output. Synthesis may combine copies or materials under its own rules. Dismantling turns an owned object into a displayed return and is often irreversible. Do not infer one action’s exchange rate or protection rules from another.
Before synthesis or dismantling, lock valuable items and units where supported. Verify the selected count, rarity, form, Shiny status, and expected output. Cancel if the preview does not show the result you intended. Use a replaceable item to learn an unfamiliar interface.
Calculate the real cost
An output costs every nested input, the time or entries used to acquire them, and the opportunity cost of competing recipes. Write a small tree: destination at the top, intermediate components below it, and raw sources at the bottom. Multiply repeated branches before farming.
Check whether a shop has stock or a reset timer and whether a mode requires keys, stamina, or daily entries. A recipe that looks cheap may be gated by a rare shared component. The Essence Stones guide provides a material worksheet.
Craft safely after updates
Reopen the recipe after a major update, hotfix, or season reset. Compare names, quantities, and source panels with your saved plan. Do not use an old screenshot to click through a new interface. Update 14.5 added systems and content around Memoria, Familiars, Codex, Dungeon, Worldlines, and Battlepass; later availability still needs a current check.
Record what the client actually consumed and produced. If it differs from the preview or a guide, stop further batches and preserve evidence rather than trying to average out the loss.
Review a craft before confirmation
Read the output name and quantity aloud, then each selected input and quantity. Compare them with the dependency plan. Check whether the action uses all matching items automatically or only the selected stack. Make sure no locked, limited, event, Shiny, equipped, or unit-specific object is included.
After one batch, return to inventory and the destination recipe. Confirm that the output increased and the expected inputs decreased. This small pause catches a wrong tab or similar icon before the rest of the materials are consumed.
Recover from a changed recipe
If an update changes quantities or removes a source, freeze the old plan. Recalculate from current inventory and active sources. Do not dismantle the now-extra components until official notes or the live interfaces establish their remaining uses.
When a preview and actual result disagree, document the date, server version if visible, exact action, and before/after counts. Stop additional batches and use official support channels; repeating the action increases an irreversible loss.
Crafting FAQ
Should I dismantle unused rare items?
Only after checking collection, evolution, Codex, event, and future recipe value. “Unused today” does not mean safely replaceable.
Can a recipe change?
Yes. Treat every static recipe as dated and confirm the current interface before spending.
